This Week's Ensemble

Just when you think our Music Students cannot get any better, they treat you with three more outstanding concerts.
Monday we enjoyed two of our Classical Ensembles. First the Wind Ensemble, this was composed of three lovely young ladies - Lisa, Jamie and Kelly. Check out Lisa's beautiful nail polish against her silver flute. Not only is it attractive, so were all three of them. Outstanding performance.
Following this we were treated to the majestic, commanding sounds of our Low Brass Ensemble. Under the direction of Karl Megules this ensemble played eleven beautiful holiday songs and even an encore that would challenge the most proficient low brass performer. A fantastic arrangement and performance.

Wednesday evening our Concert Choir gave a standing room only audience (despite a terrible stormy night) a warm, inviting performance of absolutely breathtaking music. The choir conducted by Shelley Reed and accompanied by Edward Ferdinand engaged the audience in classical, traditional and even humorous selections of holiday songs. It was an unforgettable evening for everyone who attended.

Thursday evening our Percussion Ensemble performed. Under the magical direction of Mark Pultorak these students dazzled and surprised the audience. Despite being called the Percussion Ensemble, of the 8 students who make up this ensemble, only one is a percussion major. Thanks to Mark's encouragement and belief in each of them they did an outstanding job. It was a super evening.

Photos from all these concerts are now on line at our Flickr account for your viewing pleasure. You can find them here at bccc music photos Enjoy!
